Planet Dying of Overpopulation vs. Deadly Pandemic
In Fall from Grace, play as a computer virus designed to sabotage the creation of a vaccine for a deadly pandemic in a world dying of overpopulation.
The game is designed to challenge players about their beliefs about what they think is the right thing to do. Exploring the implementation of philosophical structures like Socratic dialogue and dialectic thinking, Fall from Grace breaks new ground in game design to understand and challenge players’ beliefs.
Designing Compelling Characters
Fall from Grace features a set of powerful characters, who will leave a mark on your thinking long after you finish playing the game.
A selfish CEO who learns the value of human life, a brilliant, but disillusioned genius trying to save humanity in the living condition, and an adorable giant snake, who challenges you to think deeper are some of the characters you meet in this once in a lifetime journey.
Developing a Gestural Vocabulary
Fall from Grace merges a powerful narrative with novel gestures in VR, reinforcing an emotional beat through physical gestures. The story we want to share with our players is a deeply emotional one, and VR allowed us to augment these emotions by making player enact gestures like clutching and tearing apart your heart, folding hands among others.
